A large venture capitalist invested in the hotel and hospitality industry and was interested in buying in bulk several condominiums from an overseas resort and spa. The CEO of the resort and spa wanted to quickly close the investor’s interest in revenue with the worst terms possible.

How did we assist?

C&K helped by mediating between the CEO and investor and helped develop an acquisition implementation plan by being able to connect them with other businesses and consumers within the same industry. This led the key players of all firms through an alignment process that allowed them to commit to the goals of the acquisition process, the changes that would be required from all, and the ways each could contribute to and benefit from this acquisition plan.

Did it work?

The CEO of the resort and spa, who was at first unwilling to help in this acquisition plan saw the bigger picture and allowed the investor to seek revenue through a consumer-based strategy. The investor reported that the help received by third party company’s suggested by C&K followed the alignment and acquisitions process and saved him time and money which lead to significant future deals with other investors, taking on the lead role in this industry seeing an upgrade in:

  • Market share
  • Cost per item acquired
  • Revenue per item sold
